I finally managed to run the game by fixing decade old errors. Baffles me that a multi billion company is releasing such buggy crap. 1. Go to your users folder \Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Data and create an options.ini file and add: BuildingOcclusion = yes DynamicLOD = yes ExtraAnimations = yes FirewallBehavior = 9 .cnc generals game.dat C&C generals Game.dat not responding/Directx8.1 higher ; msg. I just put my disc of Generals 1 and ask to repair. Yes it repaired my ZH game.dat, must have been something missing and it repaired it. Now, I still want to change my MaxCameraHeight. I already download the genpatch and put already the option.ini (where you create notepad and put the copied text). But still it doesnt work. I use windows 11.
